News for July 19th, 2005
Greetings once again. Seems the wedding jokes have not dried up yet. We should be launching into a couple other 'toons shortly so bear with us.
I love the "Pardon our dust" construction signs. I think the excuse of remodeling for having a generally untidy hotel or store is wonderful and have adopted this in our house. I figure as long as I have some unfinished construction or otherwise major project cooking there is no reason to actually clean. In other words, as our dear friend Thing 3.0 says, "if they came to see me, they won't mind the mess. If they want the house clean, the vacuum is right there next to the door." I am paraphrasing but what the heck.
In other news we saw "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" which should not be confused with "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory." My opinion, and yes it does matter, is that they both have a lot to offer in entertainment. I like both and am not going to play the "Old School" or "Burton and Elfman are Gods" card. I say read the book, see the movies and have a bar of chocolate while doing it.
As Ninja mentioned we seem to be in continual construction though I shouldn't say anything as I was the one who instigated it this time. After many months of casually and not so casually bringing up the topic of moving puters to the basement Ninja finally got what he wanted. The computers with help from Thing 7.0 are now in the basement as ya can see from this Picture . Ninja's desk is on the left and mine on the right as you can see me working on this weeks comic. The place is still a mess but, we're getting there. Also note that in the lower left hand corner you can see Ninja and I hanging with Teller of Penn and Teller. (very amazing and amusing magicians) Oh and I picked up my ring today. It's the one both my mother and grandmother were married with...so it bring lots of good luck with it.
